Summer plans

Yes, I got the four weeks of vacation I asked for. I have vacation from 27th of June till 27th of July. Very nice indeed. The first week will be spent in Lappland in the north of Sweden with my father in law, his sister and another friend to the family, while my darling spends the week in his father's house in Vallvik with our dog. I have been invited to go with them for three years now and this year I finally can go with them on this fishing expedition. Then I'll join my beau in Vallvik for my birthday and just enjoying the summer, at the 16th of July we're going to Iron Maiden in Stockholm. And hopefully we'll make the trip to England to visit my pregnant friend and hopefully walk the footsteps of Jane Austen in Bath. It was her idea and we'll drop the guys off at a suitable pub somewhere. It would be awesome!

I've got mail!

My dearest friend who is currently (well as it seems, since she just got engaged to a Englishman and is carrying his child, permenantly) living in England sent me the sweetest postcard today. She and her beau was in Bath this weekend and when she saw the card she thought of me. Isn't that sweet? Well she knows of my obsessions and addictions, that is for sure!

But this time it's of the movie Atonement instead. Another great movie with James McAvoy. He does seem to be the greatest kisser ever and has the ability to sweep a lady off her feet.

Now perhaps...

...things will light up at work. After a long time of actual war between the two groups at the switchboard it seems as we're gonna have some peace and understanding. Our old team leader is coming back to care for us again. Yey! We're gonna have someone to go to with our complaints. The difference is already noticeable, from have been working in a playpen here we have actually begun to speak and behave like civilized adults. There is still one person in the other group that is still a pain in the ass. That is not going to change, I'm afraid. She just can't shut up and do her work. Like earlier today when we had 10 people in queue for the switchboard she sat happily chirping in a private call. Nice? I don't think so.

And also the new salary final. Yes, almost 1000 sek more a month. My salary doesn't seem so bad anymore. Yey!

It's Friday and the sun is shining. I even went for a nice walk during my lunch hour, I'm gonna try to make that a habit... we'll see how that goes.

Bloody busdriver!

He didn't stop when I pressed the button this morning. I was wearing my new high heeled boots in honor of the sunny day outside. It was very troublesome to get to the bus stop this morning, I promise you. They have really high heels and I'm not used to walk in that. I almost fell down with cramps in my legs and toes. And then the driver didn't stop at my stop! So I had to walk from the stop after that. It's like a MILE! Do you understand how much in pain I was when I finally got to work?!

Me not so happy. But the boots are delicious!

Friday at last!

It feels like this week has been way too long. I thought it was Friday yesterday, and was very disappointed when I read Thursday on the newspaper. Not so fun at all.

More fun was it to meet up with to dear old friends for dinner and a pint after work on Wednesday. We try to meet up once in a while, but it it is more sporadic now since we all are grown up and have busy lives. We ate a really nice dinner at Kvarnen, and talked of times past and the future and what not. Said good bye with the promise not to let too long a time go before we meet again. I mean we live in the same city for crying out loud. How hard can it me?

The weekend will contain a really girly night tomorrow with L and romantic movies. The darling is out with the boys celebrating M's stagnight. He has no idea of what awaits him. He thinks we are all meeting up for dinner at a restaurant to celebrate his birthday, which is on Sunday. I have promised not to drink anything with alcohol if I need to go pick up my darling somewhere.

And the sun is shining! There is still hope for spring! :-D

Seriously?! It's April. There should be no snow in April. It is way wrong. The sun has been shining with temperatures well over 15 degrees celsius. Why oh why do I live in Sweden?!
