I've been shopping!

I felt a slight panic come over me when I realised that the cocktail party at M and C actually is this weekend and I have absolutely NOTHING to wear! To make matters worse we are visiting my father in law on a mini vacation and the shopping is some what challenging. But despite this I went on a dress hunt. I started at Lindex since it is situated next to ICA where we were going grocery shopping. I found lovely dresses, but nothing really fit for a cocktail party. I did buy a cute grey one to ease my disappointment. It looks like this:

Worst case scenario I could put a nice sash at the waist and hope for the best. Then we went into “town” to make a visit at the pharmacy and Systemet (liquor store). As we was waiting for my father in law I thought I’d take a quick look in Randiga Rutan where we found a really nice dress for me this last summer. What did I have to lose? And they had a nice sale as well. I found two dresses to try on and one of them fitted like a glove! Half price and everything! This is the dress from VILA that I’m going to wear on Saturday:

Since I bought the white version I can probably wear it during the summer as well. I spent 550 SEK on these two dresses! Not bad at all if I might say so myself. Now the only thing I have to do is work out as a maniac and hopefully lose a pound or two...

HIM was AWESOME!

I am totally psyched! It was the best concert ever! I am so glad that my co-worker knows the drum technician. Free concerts are seldom that good, but to be on the guest list is just cool in it self... and HIM rocked! The only bad thing was that I didn't bring my camera. I had to take pics with my mobile and well... the quality isn't the best. But the colors look quite good anyways! ;) Some of them could be enlarged and put on the wall as art! ;) (If the quality was better anyway.)
We met S before for some beers at Nalen Bar. Very nice indeed. Got to practice my English as well, though S and K did most of the talking. He teased me about my red Little My tee. Evil. I really need to get some HIM tee instead if I am to go again. :) I so want to see them live again. Ville Valo is so cute on stage, no wonder the room was filled with crying teenaged girls.

Happy Valentine's Day!

My darling is so sweet. Although I rang him late last night begging for him to come pick me up from the bus, he made me a sandwich and put a pink post it on it saying "Happy Valentine's Day darling! I love you! Kisses from your own M!" He's so sweet! I love him dearly!

I wasn't supposed to go out yesterday, but my darling's brother and his co-workers were having beers close by where I was at trying coffee. So I said, I'll have one beer. But as everyone knows, beers travel in packs. You can never have just one beer. And they just kept coming. We started at the billiards parlour and then a few of us continued to a bar close by. I missed bus after bus and well, in the end I had to call my darling to come pick me up with car. He was not happy!

Tonight I'm going with a colleague to see HIM. Her special friend is working with them as a roadie so we get in for free. It's going to awesome! I haven't been to a concert since forever! And never a metal concert so it'll be a first! The countdown to Iron Maiden in July has started! :D

40000 women can't be wrong!

Ha! I knew I had good taste! According to a survey made by UKdating.com among 40000 women our dream man should look like Jake Gyllenhaal. “He should be clean-shaven, good-looking and drive a silver Mercedes. And most important of all, more than 5ft 10in. […] Mr Right wears smart jeans and a T-shirt and weights exactly 12st 7lb. He’s a doctor or lawyer who earns more than £30.000 […].” Daily Mail writes. Although I prefer SAAB and car rental personnel, I would not say no to a date with Jake! ;)

I'm such a youtube-addict

My dvd’s from UK has not yet arrived. But my Becoming Jane-dvd came last week as I said in my last post. I am so happy! I really need an Austen-day with L as soon as my movies from UK arrives. :-D I have found a new TV-adaptation to love, North & South, a Elizabeth Gaskell adaptation (on youtube, of course!). Richard Armitage (perhaps more known as sir Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood) plays John Thornton, and does it beautifully! I just realised that the novel has been standing on my book shelf for some time now without being read. Perhaps it is time to read it now? If I remember correctly I bought it when I lived in UK eight years ago in hope of it being the novel behind the 80-ies series North and South with Patrick Swayze, but to my disappointment it was not and I put it away. But now I’m going to give it another chance.

Otherwise nothing new in my life. Work is finally calming down!

We have begun planning for my friend Micke’s fiancée’s hen night. It is my first hen night ever so I am finding everything very interesting! We have lots of ideas that I am not going to tell you here since there is a slight chance that she might nose around here… ;)

Finally!

At long last my Becoming Jane dvd arrived! Me so happy! unfortunalty it did not include any extra material, ah well, from what I have heard there wasn't much to be missed. Very well now I can enjoy James McAvoy when ever I feel like it! ;)

I am currently awaiting his new movie, Penelope it's coming to theaters (in US anyways) 29th of Feburary. It seems quite interesting. I want to see it! I cannot get enough of James!
